HOLY BIBLE
The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and trustworthy Word of God. Inspired means Scripture is breathed out by the Holy Spirit; inerrant means it is without error in its original manuscripts; infallible means it is completely reliable and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. Scripture is our final authority, above culture, experience, or personal opinion.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26
TRINITY
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and co-eternal.

1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11
THE FATHER
God is great: He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and holy. It is in Him that we live, move, and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

Exodus 3:14; Numbers 23:19; Leviticus 11:44-45, 19:2; Psalm 11:4-6; Malachi 3:6; John 3:16
THE SON
Jesus Christ is God the Son. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the cross for mankind, thus paying the price for our sins through the shedding of His blood. On the third day, He rose from the dead just as the Scriptures said He would. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return again in power and glory.

John 1:1, 1:14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit assures believers of salvation and guides, teaches, comforts, convicts, and empowers Christ followers. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and given for the building up of the church. These gifts always operate in harmony with Scripture and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters.

Genesis 1:2; Psalm 51:11, 139:7; Isaiah 61:1-3; Joel 2:28-32; Mark 1:10; Luke 1:35, 4:1, 11:13, 12:12; 1 Corinthians 12:11, 1 Corinthians 12–14
VIRGIN BIRTH
Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father through the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary's womb. Therefore, He is the Son of God and of man.

Matthew 1:18, 25; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:27-35
REDEMPTION
Man was created good, but fell when he chose to use his free will for evil; his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21
REGENERATION
The transformation of a person’s spiritual condition from death to life through the work of the Holy Spirit. Another phrase for regeneration is ‘born again,’ which describes the process through which man is made dead to his sins and made alive (regenerated) in Christ. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is required to truly know God.

John 6:44, 65; Matthew 19:28; Titus 3:5
SALVATION
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22
REPENTANCE
Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Repentance is essential to salvation, and thus, it is through repentance we receive forgiveness of sins.

Acts 2:21, 3:19; 1 John 1:9
SANCTIFICATION
Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; Romans 8:29; 12:1-2; Hebrews 2:11
JESUS' BLOOD
The Blood that Jesus Christ shed on the Cross of Calvary was sinless and is 100% sufficient to cleanse mankind of all sin. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished for our sins, enabling all those who believe in Him to be free from the penalty of sin, which is death.

1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:9; John 1:29
THE HOLY SPIRIT TODAY
The Holy Spirit assures believers of salvation and guides, teaches, comforts, convicts, and empowers Christ followers. The gifts of the Holy Spirit always operate in harmony with Scripture and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters. Gifts are not essential to salvation, but should be earnestly desired by all believers.

John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8-9; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 14:1
THE CHURCH
The Church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23; John 17:11, 20-23
WATER BAPTISM
After placing their faith in Jesus Christ, the new believer is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48
COMMUNION
Also called the Lord’s Supper, believers consume juice and bread representing the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross.

Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25
MARRIAGE
We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant - a sacred bond - between one man and one woman, instituted by and publicly entered into before God.

Matthew 19:4-6
RESURRECTION
Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. In addition, both the saved (believers) and the lost (unbelievers) will be resurrected. Believers will join the resurrection of life and unbelievers will join the resurrection of eternal damnation.

Luke 24:16, 36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21

Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8
ESCHATOLOGY
We affirm the bodily, personal, second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium, and the final judgment. The final judgment will determine the eternal status of both the saints and the unbelievers, determined by their relationship to Jesus Christ.

Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7

Cultural Beliefs

POLITICS
Home Church believes the Kingdom of God transcends all political parties, platforms, and ideologies (Philippians 3:20). While the church itself is nonpartisan, Home Church actively encourages believers to engage civically, including voting, advocacy, and participation in public life.

Scripture calls Christians to apply biblical truth to moral and ethical issues that shape society. This includes voting biblically on matters related to life, sexuality, marriage, family, and justice.
SEXUALITY, GENDER IDENTITY, + MARRIAGE
Home Church believes every person is created in the image of God and is therefore worthy of dignity, love, and grace (Genesis 1:27). Scripture teaches that God created humanity male and female and designed marriage as a lifelong covenant between one biological man and one biological woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6).

Sexual intimacy is reserved for this covenant, sexual activity outside of marriage is sin. Cohabitation is contrary to biblical teaching (1 Corinthians 6:18; Hebrews 13:4). Home Church also affirms that divorce is biblically permitted only in cases of adultery, abuse, or abandonment (Matthew 19:9; 1 Corinthians 7:15), with abuse understood to include physical, emotional, or verbal harm.
ABORTION
Home Church holds a clear pro-life stance grounded in Scripture, believing that human life begins at conception and is sacred to God (Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5). We believe abortion stands in opposition to God’s design for life. Home Church is deeply committed to compassion, grace, and restoration for those who have experienced abortion, offering healing and hope through Jesus Christ.
DECONSTRUCTION + INSTITUTIONAL DISTRUST
Home Church recognizes that many people carry real pain, disappointment, or confusion from past church experiences. Honest questions and struggles of faith are welcomed and addressed through Scripture, community, and discipleship. However, we believe biblical faith is strengthened through commitment to the local church rather than separation from it (Hebrews 10:24–25).
CONSUMER CHRISTIANITY VS. COMMITTED DISCIPLESHIP
Home Church exists to make disciples, not consumers (Luke 9:23). Following Jesus requires surrender, obedience, sacrifice, and perseverance. Church membership is not passive participation but an active commitment to spiritual growth, faithful service, generous giving, and missional living.
