When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! I will set out and go back to my father's house.”
Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭17-18‬ ‭
The prodigal son doubted the grace, but he never doubted the space. He knew there was room in his father’s house. When Home Church launched on September 12, 2021, it was built around that story. I was once a prodigal, and I want to pastor a church that is a front porch for prodigals like me. A place that carries the same grace of God I experienced. A place where people can encounter Christ every Sunday.
God has been unbelievably faithful. Three packed services. Every square inch of the building renovated and repurposed to make room for as many people as possible. All 100% debt free. It has truly been a miracle.
But here is what I cannot shake. For every prodigal we have had the opportunity to welcome home, there are still more out there. And you know what is on the Father’s heart? The one who is still out there. We are adding a worship center that will hold up to 1,100 people, offering two services that's 2,200 seats for adults, not counting the additional classroom space for kids that will accommodate! That opens up 1,120 more seats per weekend than we currently have. Until we open those doors, I can't help but feel like we are saying "not yet" to 1,120 sons and daughters every single weekend. Every one of those seats represents a person the Father is waiting to run toward. In the story, the son never wondered if there would be a seat at the table. He had a confident assurance that there would be room. There should always be room for people to come Home.
So we're Extending the Table to welcome all the prodigals who are ready to come Home!

Extending the Table of Home Church

This aerial view shows an overview of the expanded Home Church facility, including two additional parking lots, three main entrances, a dedicated family parking area, and increased road visibility along Home Avenue. A connecting corridor will unify the buildings into one continuous space for adults and children, with a secure outdoor play area between them.
An additional road-front parking lot along Home Avenue will increase accessibility. A pedestrian bridge across Shawnee Creek will safely connect the lot to the main church property.
The expanded lobby will create space for connection between services, featuring a coffee area, additional restrooms, and garage-style doors that open to an outdoor patio for gathering during warmer seasons.
The new worship center will seat 900–1,100 people and include a family seating area and a private mothers’ room to better serve young families.

How You Can Be A Part Of It

Goal: 1,500,000

We are asking families to prayerfully consider what the Lord is laying on their hearts to be a part of Extending the Table.
  • Pray
Will you pray, specifically and boldly, for those 1,120 souls to come to know Jesus?
  • Do Some Math
Will you do some math? If you're a part of Home Church or believe in this vision, would you see if you're in a position to help us get there faster?
  • Ask the Lord
Will you ask the Lord what He's saying to you about this?
  • Be Obedient
Will you obey, whatever that looks like? If it's to pray, pray. If it's to give, give. Just say yes to what He's asking.

FAQs

Why now?
Our current facility is limiting how well we can serve those who already call Home Church their church home. We are at capacity with three full services and limited classroom space compared to attendance. God continues to bring people to Home Church, and we do not want our facility to become a barrier to those He is still bringing.
What about our current facility?
Our existing building will remain a vital part of our campus. It will be remodeled to provide additional Next Gen worship space and classrooms, and these updates are already included in the total project cost.
What is the project overview?
The total project cost is $6.6 million. We need to raise $1.5 million as a down payment to begin construction, with loan funding already secured to cover the remaining cost. We are believing God for additional gifts that will allow us to minimize the amount of debt required for the project.
What is needed to get started?
We need $1.5 million to break ground. Home Church is currently budgeting $30,000 per month toward this goal. At that rate, without additional gifts, it would take just over four years to reach the amount needed to begin construction.
What can I do?
Please pray for the people God is preparing to bring home when the table has been extended. And if you feel led, would you prayerfully consider giving to help accelerate the timeline for this project?

If Home Church is your church home, a great starting point is faithful and consistent tithing. This helps us operate the ministry well today while also strengthening the church’s monthly contribution toward the project.

If you are already tithing, remain consistent; we have budgeted based on your prior faithfulness. Any giving toward Extend the Table is considered above and beyond regular giving.
