The prodigal son doubted the grace, but he never doubted the space. He knew there was room in his father’s house. When Home Church launched on September 12, 2021, it was built around that story. I was once a prodigal, and I want to pastor a church that is a front porch for prodigals like me. A place that carries the same grace of God I experienced. A place where people can encounter Christ every Sunday.
God has been unbelievably faithful. Three packed services. Every square inch of the building renovated and repurposed to make room for as many people as possible. All 100% debt free. It has truly been a miracle.
But here is what I cannot shake. For every prodigal we have had the opportunity to welcome home, there are still more out there. And you know what is on the Father’s heart? The one who is still out there. We are adding a Worship Center that will hold up to 850 people, offering two services that's 1,700 seats for adults, not counting the additional classroom space for kids that will accommodate! That opens up 680 more seats per weekend than we currently have. Until we open those doors, I can't help but feel like we are saying "not yet" to 680 sons and daughters every single weekend. Every one of those seats represents a person the Father is waiting to run toward. In the story, the son never wondered if there would be a seat at the table. He had a confident assurance that there would be room. There should always be room for people to come Home.
So we're Extending the Table to welcome all the prodigals who are ready to come Home!

The doors at the front of the building will open to an outdoor patio area designed for gathering and connecting during the warmer months.
The main entrance will be located around the back of the building, where the majority of the parking will be located. The grassy area beyond the current parking lot provides additional space that can be developed into parking as needed.
Expanded Lobby
The expanded lobby running through the center of the building will create additional space for connection and gathering between services. It will feature a dedicated coffee area, additional restrooms, and garage-style doors that open into a multipurpose room, allowing the space to be flexible for a variety of gatherings and events.
Worship Center
The new Worship Center will seat approximately 700–850 people and will include a designated family seating area and a private mothers’ room, creating a more welcoming and accommodating environment for young families.
Next Gen Space
The other side of the building will be dedicated entirely to Next Gen ministry, providing dedicated classroom space for every age group. Each age range will have the capacity for two classrooms as needed, giving us the flexibility to grow while maintaining an environment that is engaging and age-appropriate for kids. This layout will also allow us to maintain healthy classroom ratios and provide the best possible experience for every child.

The property also includes a pole barn for storage, giving us additional space to support the ministry happening inside the building.

Why now?
Our current facility is limiting how well we can serve those who already call Home Church their church home. We are at capacity with three full services and limited classroom space compared to attendance. God continues to bring people to Home Church, and we do not want our facility to become a barrier to those He is still bringing.
What about our current facility?
Our existing building on Home Avenue will remain a vital part of the Home Church campus. We plan to remodel the space to create additional offices and meeting spaces for mentorship, Home Groups, and other ministry opportunities.
Our hope is that Home Avenue will become a ministry hub for outreach and community services, creating even more opportunities for Home Church to serve and care for the people in our community throughout the week.

What is the project overview?
We are currently under contract to purchase the property and are hoping to close in the coming weeks. Once the purchase is complete, we will begin renovations on the Lower Bellbrook Road property.
We’ll share the full project timeline and overall cost as soon as we receive the finalized information from the contractor overseeing the renovations. Our goal is to keep everyone informed as we move forward and continue taking steps toward making this vision a reality.

A Kingdom Partnership
We’re incredibly grateful for our partnership with Wesleyan Investment Foundation (WIF) throughout this process. Their mission is to financially resource local churches so more people can encounter Jesus, and their team has truly approached this as a Kingdom partnership rather than simply a lending transaction. Their encouragement, expertise, and relational investment have been a huge blessing to us as we take this next step.
What’s Next?
The primary piece we are waiting on is the final construction contract and budget from our contractor. Because this project involves multiple layers of subcontractor bids, permitting, zoning, scope development, and construction planning, we want to give our team the time needed to develop an accurate and thorough budget. We want to move with faith, but also with wisdom, excellence, and faithful stewardship.
Why October 14th?
While we could technically close on the property sooner, our goal is to use the time available to us wisely.
Rather than completing separate closings for the property and construction, we are working toward one financing package that includes both the property acquisition and renovation. This allows us to simplify the process and avoid unnecessary costs and fees.

Since entering into a purchase agreement for the Lower Bell property in late July, we’ve made incredible progress in a short amount of time.
